Rock Star Stella Benefit

Come on out this Saturday June 5th for an extraordinary event for an extraordinary young girl.

Noon – 4pm is the All Ages segment and Origin teams up with Negara once again to entertain you and to raise money for Stella’s battle against Leukemia. Then from 6pm – Midnght it shifts to 21+ and features acts Oracle, Stolen Sweets and Dr. Theopolis.

@Large Film Studios, 807 NE Couch Street is where the magic happens. Tickets available online at Afternoon admission is $10 for adults and $5 for kids. Evening show is $20. All proceeds go to Stella’s Medical Expense Contribution Fund. This is truly what community is about!

Origin at Airplay

CeciliaThis was a really great show with fabulous music and a great look at some of the options in belly dance from Portland. Tiffany, thanks for inviting us to dance. Come on out this Saturday October 10th to hear the fabulous Negara. Joining them will be live dancing with Tiffany, Origin, and  Documentary Film Maker Cecilia Rinn who is in town for her recent release of “Belly”.Negara

Sullivan’s Gulch Block Party with Origin

Come on out this Saturday September 12th at 5pm to the Sullivan’s Gulch Block Party. Cheryl & Jen from Origin will hit the stage at 5pm but there will also be music all day long for you to enjoy.

The heart of the party will be at NE 25th & Clackamas. So come on by for some food and dancing and celebrate these final rays of summer.

And if you are still in the mood for fun afterward, hop over to Muddy Waters and catch the end of the Belmont Street Fair where you can find more of our friends bellydancing late in the evening.

Art in the Pearl

Lucky Origin! Negara asked us to join them this year for one of Portland’s best gatherings, Art in the Pearl. We will be on the World Music Stage Saturday September 5th. Procession through the North Park Blocks commences at 10:30 leading us up to the stage where we will entertain you until noon.

Joining Origin for the procession will be 3 other local dance favorites Bianca McCarthy, Traci Hildner and Endi Clark. They are our friends and are quite talented and we are honored they will dance with us.

Check back for photos of the event and help spread the word. Admission is always FREE. Find us at the North Park Blocks between W. Burnside and NW Glisan at NW 8th Ave. Take the bus, Max, a long walk, a lovely bike ride and enjoy the end of summer right here in our beautifully creative city.
